Custom Refined Pool Table
Spent quite some time researching pool tables and companies that sell them and after visiting a couple of large retailers, I left unimpressed.
Then found Designer Billiards, visited Chris at Great Bedwyn and immediately found what I was looking for.
A hand built table, made by craftsmen that know what they are doing and care passionately about their craft.
I love my table, which they built to my exact specification regarding pocket type, inlays, table height, type of wood, finish of wood and cloth.
They cater for all budgets and tastes and I can thoroughly recommend their work and also aftercare service.

Spartan Rollover
I saw the design for this table and knew immediately it was just what we wanted. We need a project table to work on by day and then a pool table at night. Chris (one of the owners) and his crew arrived to install it. A nicer bunch of guys are hard to find. Installation was a joy. The table looks great (see pictures), the mechanism is great and easy to use, the table is dead solid when locked into both positions ( which was a worry before delivery) and the table plays like a dream (you just don't get a true travel on pub tables) I cant recommend this table enough if you want a good looking, well made and the ability to change it into a good looking ordinary table.

I ordered a Prestige Bar from Chris and the team at Designer Billiards, to go in a converted room at my home in time for the 2018 World Cup.
I didn’t give him a lot of time and as I had already invited people for the event the pressure was on.
I am glad to say the bar was completed on time, fits perfectly in the room, is stunning and built to such a high quality. I am absolutely delighted and everyone who has visited my home bar has commented on how good the bar itself is.
Here I am getting ready for the opening night which England managed to win with a last-minute goal, it was a fantastic night and I raised a glass to Chris.

From the initial phone contact through to a showroom visit and eventual delivery these people made a dream come true with no “ifs” or “buts”. Nothing is too much trouble and the Spartan Rollover pool/snooker table I purchased is quite simply the coolest, smartest, most incredible present I have ever bought myself.

You and Tim have been a real pleasure to work with from the moment we first engaged with you. The help and patience you showed to us when we were trying to choose woods, contrasting beading, and cloth finishes was excellent. The samples you sent to us helped enormously, and the time you spent with us on the phone covering some of the attributes of the different woods, and some of the finer points of the design of the pool table and the dining table was invaluable. It all made such a difference and made us feel that you were genuinely as interested as we were to ensure that everything worked for us.
Your design, which enables the smooth transition from Pool table to Dining table is elegant, and the finish of the whole product is first class.
To cap off all of this, you and Tim drove 160 miles to deliver our table, two days before Christmas, and then were meticulous in all of your assembly work to ensure everything worked perfectly before you left (which was after 10pm).
We have made very good use of the table, in both its guises, since and we are delighted with it.

Through my extensive research into luxury pool tables, nothing compares. Once I had seen the Designer Billiards rollover.....i could'nt get it out of my mind.
We met in their Wiltshire workshops, where Chris and Tim showed me around the site. They talked me through all the different processs (which was fasinasting) and I was able to see tables at differnt stadges of production.
I could see the passion in the craftsmanship and asked for my rollover to be the best table they had ever made and that they would be proud to have in their own homes.
The table exceeded my expectations, the delviery and installtion went very smoothly and I can not recommend them highly enough.

After much contemplation and continued communication with Home Leisure, we finally purchased a 7ft Spartan Rollover in August 2016. Josh at Home Leisure was particularly helpful meeting our requirements by liaising directly with Designer Billiards and put together a package that that ultimately sealed the deal for us. The team at DB sent me regular updates including photos with the progress of the Spartan R being built. They delivered on time and assembled with care, showing a clear passion for their work. The table is stunning and the rollover mechanism feels reassuring engineered. The striking selection of woods just work and there is plenty of grain variation which we had hoped for. The pool table plays like a dream and is it surprising just how many of our friends enjoy this game, whatever their level. It always puts a smile on my face when I see the reaction from friends whilst flipping the dining table to reveal a pool table. The beauty of this table is the ease with which it can be transformed. If you are fortunate enough to consider purchasing this table, you will not be disappointed and because of the ease of the rollover mechanism, you'll probably find yourself playing a lot more pool than you would with the conventional removable panelled version.

We just want to thank you and team at DB for all the hard work building the Spartan R. From your constant communication to delivery and assembly, it has been a pleasure dealing with you guys. The passion you show for your work is clearly evident in the end product.

The table is a joy to play on. The contrast in woods and grain variation is simply stunning. The design, precision in alignment and the rollover mechanism are works of art.
